Meet Adrian Young
("Monty")
Since joining our biomedical team in 2024, Monty has been a fantastic addition, creating a positive and relaxed work environment while addressing medical equipment challenges quickly and efficiently.
Day in The Life
Monty starts his mornings bright and early at 3:30 a.m., heading to the gym by 5:00 a.m. His consistent workouts set the tone for a productive day, giving him the energy to tackle whatever comes next. Afterward, he heads to the Westerville office, ready to begin work at 7:30 a.m.
At the office, Monty reviews the pump aging report to identify which infusion pumps have been in the system for the longest. He performs preventative maintenance and repairs on these pumps, as well as on a variety of other biomedical equipment. Throughout the day, he troubleshoots and tests devices, and once the pumps are ready, he hands them off to the warehouse team for shipment—a process he repeats until the end of the day.
In addition to equipment maintenance, Monty proactively identifies personal training needs, keeps the service area clean and safe, and ensures accurate database entries and reports. By consistently meeting department production goals, he helps keep operations running smoothly, bringing focus, skill, and energy to every part of his day.
Beyond the Office
Any hidden talents?
“Most people don’t know that I was in a rap group in the late 1990’s through early 2000s that toured the United States. I even had my own recording studio, where I produced several albums and CDs.”
How do you unwind?
“In my free time, I like to relax with friends and family, watch football, and soak up fun and good company.”
Dream travel destination?
“Honestly, anywhere with a great view of the water, the mountains, or—best case scenario, both. I like to call it ‘medicine for the eyes.’ There’s just something about that scenery that helps me unwind from city life.”
Go-to feel-good song?
“Sam Cooke’s ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’—it’s timeless and always lifts my spirits.”
Three words that describe your approach to both work and life?
“Love, live, learn.”
